A MEETING WITH A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE INTERNATIONAL PUBLISHER SPRINGER NATURE FOR THE CIS AND EASTERN EUROPE TOOK PLACE AT KazNARU

✅ On January 28, 2026, Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU) hosted a working meeting with Irina Alekseevna Alexandrova, a representative of the international publishing house Springer Nature for the CIS countries and Eastern Europe. The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for International Relations Rafis Abazov and Director of the Department of Science Akhmetzhan Akievich Sultanov.

✅ During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of opportunities offered by Springer Nature, one of the world’s largest academic publishers. The publishing house is among the top three global leaders in scientific publishing and brings together around 2,800 journals indexed in the international Scopus database.

✅ Irina Alexandrova presented in detail the publisher’s opportunities, including:

• publication of scientific articles in leading journals and proceedings;

• support for universities in developing publication activity;

• organization of international scientific conferences that provide young researchers with pathways to their first Scopus-indexed publications.

✅ Special attention was given to discussing individual forms of cooperation between KazNARU and Springer Nature. The parties emphasized the importance of joint initiatives aimed at improving both the quality and quantity of scientific publications, as well as strengthening the university’s position in the international academic arena.

✅ Vice-Rector Rafis Abazov highlighted the strategic importance of cooperation with leading global publishers for fulfilling KazNARU’s mission as a national research university. Director of the Department of Science Akhmetzhan Akievich Sultanov noted that partnership with Springer Nature would broaden opportunities for Kazakhstani scientists and enhance their competitiveness at the global level.

✅ The meeting was organized through the joint efforts of the International Office and the Department of Science of KazNARU within the framework of the university’s program to develop publication activity. This step reflects KazNARU’s commitment to strengthening international ties, promoting scientific research, and building a sustainable academic ecosystem.

✅ Cooperation with Springer Nature opens new prospects for KazNARU researchers by providing access to global scientific resources and platforms.
