KazNARU to Install Press for Recycling Plastic Bottles and Aluminum Cans
KazNARU plans to install a modern press for compressing plastic bottles (0.5 L) and aluminum cans. The equipment will optimize the collection and temporary storage of recyclable waste, improve the efficiency of waste sorting, and enhance the sanitary condition of the university campus.
The press, provided by partner organization “EcoSen,” is safe to operate, occupies minimal space, and does not pose additional risks. All necessary mounting components for installation are supplied by the partner, and the equipment installation is free of charge.
The press may be placed in the office of the Institute of Green and Sustainable Development, with a proposed alternative location at the Faculty of the Higher School of Business and Law. The meeting included representatives from EcoSen, the dean of the Faculty of the Higher School of Business and Law, the campus warden, the head of the Building Operations Department, and a senior specialist from the institute.
“Installing the press is a step toward fostering environmental responsibility among students and staff. We hope this project will serve as an example of efficient waste management and help maintain cleanliness and order across our campus,” the project organizers noted.
